Overdentures

Implant-Supported Overdentures

For patients seeking full-arch stability without fixed reconstruction, implant-supported overdentures offer a proven, comfortable solution. Anchored to 2–4 implants, they stay secure where a traditional denture would shift — and can still be removed for easy cleaning.

Treatment Overview

What Are Implant-Supported Overdentures?

An implant-supported overdenture is a full-arch removable prosthesis that attaches to dental implants using locator attachments, magnets, or ball-and-socket snaps. Unlike a traditional denture that rests on the gums, an overdenture has a positive connection to the jaw — dramatically reducing movement during eating and speaking.

Overdentures are an especially good fit for patients who are currently wearing an unstable conventional denture, those who want the benefits of implants without committing to a fully fixed arch, and patients for whom All-on-X may be more than what is needed.

Implant-Anchored Stability

Snap attachments or locators hold the denture securely in place — no adhesives, no shifting.

Removable for Easy Cleaning

Takes out for routine cleaning and maintenance, just like a conventional denture.

Supports Bone Structure

Implants help preserve jaw volume that is otherwise lost after tooth removal over time.

More Accessible Entry Point

Typically fewer implants required than a fixed arch, making it a more approachable first step.
